To the saints,

It has been a wonderful week of ministry and watching Gods redemptive plan unfold before us. It was a wonderful conference this weekend. Jim Ellif had a wonderful message on Fri and Sunday, I missed on Sat. but heard it was compelling. The fellowship at Arrowhead was awesome and I just thank God for you all.

It was a very active week for the ministry teams as Ken reported that the jail ministry had 20 peolple in attendance this Sunday morning. They had been praying about increasing their numbers and the guards allowed them to bend the rules. Praise God! Ken informed me that this ministry is really thriving and the guys have a zeal for the service.

The Wednesday night evangelism became the Thursday night ministry as we have moved to accomadate workers for the harvest. Today I came home early and met with Kevin Ross downtown to plan and prepare to head to the bus terminal.

We arrived at the terminal at about 4:30 and canvassed the area for people to talk too. We immediately noticed that there was a different security guard than the guy we know. Kevin and I approached him and told him what our intentions were and he had reservations almost immediately. He, however, reluctantly agreed to let us hand out tracts and witness. We talked to several people climbing off buses and had some very productive conversations. We were joined by Brian shortly after our arrival and continued witnessing. Then it happened...

The security guard came out and said that we cannot be there. He said that the metro bus station commisioner told him that we cannot witness and use tracts. We were discouraged by this turn of events. Kevin Ross will be speaking to them tommorow of our rights and we trust that God will make a way. We gathered and prayed for Gods protection from the powers of darkness and for a unified spirit to press on. Ken came shortly after this happening followed by Ed and Elliot at about 7. We decided to go into downtown Waukesha and see if we could find people on the street to talk to.

Ken and Ed partnered up and had a few good witness encounters. They spoke with a guy named Matthew, a hispanic fellow who may come to church, and a guy named Joe. Pray that God would give them understanding of the Gospel and remove the veil from their eyes.

Elliot and I partnered up and had a few good witness encounters of our own. We met a guy named Thomas who was a born again believer. He was wonderful to talk too. We then met a guy named Floyd. We spoke to him for probably 20 minutes and he said that he attended Elmbrook and believed he was saved. I gave him the good person test to which he failed. We took him through the 10 commandments and allowed him to see himself in the light of Gods standard. He continued to speak of worldly things and it was becoming difficult to reason with him. Then I asked him in 2 minutes or less to tell me what I must do to be saved. He struggled to tell me so I helped him realize the answer was to repent and trust in the savior. We left him with that and told him to seriously consider what we talked about. A seed was sown!

Elliot and I, being tired from a long day, decided to head back to the rendeveaux point. As we were crossing a bridge by a dark parkling lot, someone yelled from under the bridge in an attempt to startle us. We proceeded to look under the bridge and saw to very dark and scary men huddled there. I proclaimed that "we are coming down to you in the name of Jesus!" We scaled down the rocky terrain and approached the men. I handed them a gospel tract and they seemed very strange and unpredictable. The fellow who was speaking to me asked me to take the tract back and then I realized I knew him. He was the old boyfriend of a childhood friends sister. I told him who I was and he remembered and then took the tract. I left him with the thought that Gods timing is perfect and that our encounter was for a purpose. He agreed. I felt as though they were on some kind of hallucinogenic and they were very strange, almost crazy acting, but I felt as if God made an impact. Pray for Larry and his accomplise.

We met back at our vehicles and thanked God for what He had done through us. We thank God for you all and for your prayers for this ministry. We thank God for Pastor Mike and Sara and family for there leadership at Summit Harvest.

All Glory to God

It is very reassuring to see the other members of the congregation I attend showing up to get involved in God's service.
As a soldier gets no medals for showing up to the mess hall 3 times a day but only when he performs well under fire in battle, so I think that we cannot rest on our sundays where we are nourished once a week.
We must enter the battle after being fed.
The mess hall is not the battlefeild.
The streets are the battlefield the place where we engage the enemy is where the victory is won.

So congratulations to the warriors who are faithful in their deployment to battle!
I aspire to be more like the guys who consistently enter the fight. That God might recieve the credit both for His mercy and His generosity in letting us be a part of His plan to build the body of Christ.
DRIVE ON!!!
